Mother Sleadd’s Suite English Muffin Bread

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup milk

3 tbsp. Butter

2 tbsp. Sugar

1 Tsp. Salt

1 cup Warm water

1 Package of yeast

5 cups flour (Your choice)

 

PREPARATION:

Mix milk, sugar, butter, and salt in small bowl. Microwave about two minutes until just beyond lukewarm. Meanwhile, mix the water and yeast in large bowl. Add milk mixture to yeast bowl. Begin adding flour, starting with at least three cups and mix well. Use portable mixer with bread kneader or use hands to knead. Knead until you can punch a hole into dough and it fills itself back into the dough. Set in warm place so dough rises to double size. When dough is ready, beat it down and cut dough in half. Roll the bread in corn meal and push into bread pan. Let the bread rise again until size you want then bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or when brown and sounds hollow when you tap with finger nail.
